Hi, I'm Mackenzie, the maker behind Thistle Pottery.

Creating with my hands has been part of my life since I was young- trying crafts with friends, sewing, baking, painting, quilting, and later working in hands-on environments like boat building, fiberglass piling building, and sail making. I've always been drawn to making things that are both beautiful and useful. 

After becoming a mom of two energetic daughters, I discovered pottery while taking a local class and was instantly hooked. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a true passion.

The name Thistle Pottery reflects my Scottish heritage- my dad was 100% Scottish- and my love for thistle, a symbol that connects my family history with the pieces I create today. Each piece is handmade with care and meant to be used, loved, and part of everyday life.
